Exact replacement for my AMP Research power boards on a 2018 GMC 2500A lot quieter after replacing the motor that kept having issues too.

If possible start this job with your step all the way down. This can be accomplished by opening the door bringing the step down then closing the door while your foot is on the step. The safety feature will prevent the step from retracting. Pull the fuse coming off the battery that goes to the amp wiring harness. Remove the 3 screws on the white plastic part of the motor. Remove the dust cover and install the new motor. Then reinstall dust cover 3 screws put your fuse in and it’s done in 10 minutes or less.

One of the motors on my amp steps would only work for a couiple days after disconnecting it and reconnecting it. I called amp and they gave me this part number for a replacement motor and it was an exact fit. This also fixed the problem I was having.

This was for a 2012 2500 Ram truck. The old motor failed so I replaced it with this one. Installed it with steps mid position, it did not work. You need to pull the fuse at the battery this resets the controller and walla works perfectly. Easy 5 minute job.

Fit perfect on my amp steps I got back in 2002 for my 7.3. Been three or four months since they was installed and they still been working good. Easy to install too!

The new motor arrived quicker than expected and was a direct, easy to install replacement. I thoroughly cleaned and lubed the running board linkage before installing the new motor. Very satisfied with this purchase.
